Sofia Fletcher is hired to watch the kids, by the wife, with no input from the husband. The series starts where the job description stops: the children go to bed, the house goes quiet, and the remaining hours belong to the two adults still awake in it. Five episodes of roughly two minutes, tagged Wife. The opening two play on a free account, with episodes 3 to 5 marked as recent additions in October 2026.
The premise
The hiring is the joke. A babysitter is vetted for trustworthiness around children, and the vetting covers none of the rest of the household, which is the gap the blurb points at in one sentence.
Bedtime gives the run its clock. The hours before it are a normal evening with a paid helper in the house; the hours after are a different arrangement in the same rooms, and the series keeps the two states a few minutes apart.
Who is in it
Sofia Fletcher carries the title, the husband narrates, and the wife is the person who arranged it before going elsewhere for most of the run. The children stay offstage after the first episodes. Each character is generated for this story, and the title carries no creator likeness.
Why the wife matters more than she appears
She is offstage for most of it and still drives the plot, because she chose the sitter, set the hours and handed over the house. The series keeps that in view rather than writing her out, which is what gives the later episodes their weight.
Episodes
A five part run in the vertical player, with each part landing near two minutes. Episodes 3 to 5 were fresh when this page went up. Counts elsewhere in the catalog are collected in the episode guide.
Free and paid
The opening pair costs a sign-up and an age declaration. They carry the hiring and the first evening. The third moves the title inside Premium, which covers the whole platform rather than this run alone. Prices sit in the free tier guide.
Content notes
Adults only, with the harder material behind the plan. The single Wife tag points at the marriage rather than at who leads, which is a slightly unusual use of it on this shelf. No score from 1 to 5 has been published here for the title. The nudity guide explains the scale.
How it compares
The catalog returns often to a spouse who arranges something and then regrets it. My Wife Hired My Nurse uses the same device with a medical role and a husband who cannot move. Here the husband is capable and the constraint is purely social, which makes this the version where he has choices and the series is about him making them.
Is it real?
No. The sitter, the couple and the house are software output. No camera was involved, so no recording sits behind the series for anyone to circulate. What the pages promising one actually deliver is covered in the leak guide.
Where to watch it
On candy.ai and the Shorts site, once you are signed in and past the age check. Streaming only, with no download offered. More guides are in the series index.
Frequently asked questions
How many episodes does Our New Babysitter have?
Five in October 2026, roughly two minutes each, with episodes 3 to 5 still flagged as recent on the shelf.
Which episodes play free?
The opening two, on a free account. The remaining three sit inside Premium, which starts at 3.99 a month when billed yearly.
Who is Sofia Fletcher?
The babysitter the card names. She is a generated character created for this series, not a performer or a licensed likeness.
Does the wife know?
The blurb says the question went unasked, which is the premise. What she works out, and when, sits inside the paid episodes.
Why is it tagged Wife?
The label points at the marriage the story runs through rather than at who leads it. Tags here describe the setup only.
